Over 20 years ago, Catering Director Dorothy Thraen was the first in Houston to establish minyan donations for families in their time of grief. First working as the Catering Director for the Epicurean Catering Company, Dorothy has since joined the team at Chef Smirnov Catering and has continued her tradition of making what could be a difficult time a little easier for grieving families across the city.

 

With compassion and understanding, Dorothy and the team at Chef Smirnov Catering are dedicated to providing you and your family with exceptional care, top-quality comfort food and reliable customer service. 

Dorothy will work with you to create a custom menu for your shiva or you can select from our pre-designed Minyan & Funeral Packages. We can provide catering services at temples, facilities or home locations.

Chef Smirnov Catering accepts contributions online towards minyans. All contributions will go towards paying for the food and services that the family has selected. 

 If you wish to contribute, please fill out the form above. After filling out the form, please look for an email confirming your donation. Once you have confirmed, we will automatically receive a copy of your form. A receipt will be emailed to you when payment has been processed. 

 After donations have been closed out, we will provide the family with a list of names of all those who contributed.
